1919-2010 - Georgine Bastarache, 90, of Manoir Saint Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, April 17th, 2010. She was surrounded by her close family at the time.
Born in Bouctouche on October 24th, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Anna (LeBlanc) Bourque and was married to the late Gerard Bastarache (1989). She was employed as a Postal Clerk with Canada Post in Bouctouche for a number of years but dedicated her life mostly to her family. She was a wonderful and loving mother to Anna Allain (Elmer) of Moncton, Jean (Pauline) of Arusha, Tanzania, Africa and Louise Poirier (Danny) of MacDougall Settlement. She was a devoted and much loved grandmother to Christine, Renée, Julie, Sébastien and Pascal. She also cherished her five great- grandchildren: Emma, Justin, Valerie, Ava and Audrée. She was predeceased by her precious grandaughter Josée Poirier, two brothers, Lucien and Armand and three sisters, Yvonne, Clementine and Florence. She will always be remembered with much love for her kind and patient nature; her family was always her central focus but her heart could expand that "family" to all of those around her.
Au revoir maman/mémére....
