ROY, Hazel Dorothy - 83 Summerville Center formerly of Liverpool passed away peacefully on April 8, 2010 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. She was born in Liverpool March 28, 1927 to the late Thomas and Lillian (Schrader) Jollimore. At the time of her passing she was living with Gary and Verna Rawding, her niece, in Summerville Center and will be very sadly missed. Hazel lived her early life in Liverpool and also her married life. As a young girl she worked in Middleton and she brought up a family in that area. She lived in Ontario and brought up a second family of 3 children, Belinda Tanch, North Bay, ON; Rodney Tanch, Ontario and Ralph Tanch, Kentville, NS. Hazel loved to cook and made great Date Squares and also loved to go for drives in the country. She had a great love for "Bingo" as a social life, meeting all of her many friends. Hazel was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 18 brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters, Janet Roy, Ontario and Heather, New Brunswick; sons, Roger Jollimore, Liverpool; Brian Powers, British Columbia and Arthur MacLeod, Liverpool; sisters- in-law, Ruth Elliott, Truro; Evelyn Corscadden, Saint John, NB and Katie Wear, Kingston, NS; brothers-in-law, Robert Tanch, Winnipeg, MB and Reg (Joan) Weir, Berwick. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Roy, her companion of 41 years Doug Tanch; daughter, Rose and sons, Gary and Chester. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service was held Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton with Rev. Karen Ralph officiated.
