Mrs. Cornelia (Connie) Theresa Middleton of Grand Manan Island passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Grand Manan Nursing Home. Born on May 6, 1915 at Grand Harbour she was the daughter of the late Leffert and Ethel (Smith) Randall. She worked in her younger years for the telephone company, later in 1956 she moved to Gary with her late husband Clifford, and there she worked at UNB Fredericton at the Maggie Jean Chestnut House and the Murray House. Following their retirement and the loss of her husband she returned to Grand Manan in 1997 and moved into Rotary Isle Estates, enjoyed friendships and was a faithful member of the Castalia Baptist Church. She is survived by two nieces Marion Ingersoll of Seal Cove, Linda (Robert) Griffin of Grand Harbour, her sister-in-law Mrs. Della Boynton of Castalia. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, three sisters Millicant Randall, Ella Green, and Greta Bernice Randall. Also her brother Herbert Randall, and her niece Greta Randall in November of 2009.
Visiting will be held at Ells Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Grand Harbour Baptist Church on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jeff Benson and Rev. Ron Ford officiating.
