It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, sister, aunt, and devoted grandmother. Bunty passed away peacefully on April 2, 2010, at the Freeport Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., after her brief, courageous battle with cancer.
Bunty was born in Scotchtown, New Waterford, and was the middle daughter of the late Robert (Bob) Smith and Ellen (Burke) Smith.
Bunty is survived by her four boys, Bob (Diane), Francis (Dawn), B.C., Malcie (Corey Anne) and Kenny, Kitchener. Cherished forever by her grandchildren, Eric, Hunter, MacKenzie, Courtney, Tyler, Daniel and Stephanie. Forever missed by her sisters, Mary Alice 'Posey' McKinnon (Joe), Sydney, and Faye 'Phemie' Birminghan (Floyd), Kitchener.
Predeceased by her husband, John Beaton, New Waterford/Kitchener.
Bunty made everyone welcome in her home. She dearly loved her family and friends. She was a 'Fabulous" cook and hostess, loved a good laugh, music, dance, travel and her cats. All who had the good fortune to truly know her, will miss Bunty.
As per Bunty's wishes, cremation has taken place.
