Passed peacefully away on Thursday, April 22nd. 2010, Bernard Joseph McCarthy at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife Thelma; stepson George Pye; sister Margaret (Ed Power); friend Cathy Park; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Bertha and Ambrose McCarthy; brothers: Jim and Phonse; and sister Madeline. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, on Friday, 2- 4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, April 24th. at 10:30 AM from All Hallows Church, Humber Road, Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
