1923 - 2010 - Anna Phillips, presently living in Oakville, ON, has passed away in Oakville on April 30th, 2010 at the age of 87. Born in Sainte-Anne de Kent, on January 18th, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Sylvain and the late Osithe (Maillet) Allain. Anna worked for 25 years as an order filler with Automotive Hardware in Toronto. After her retirement her and her late husband Percy Phillips (2000) moved to Sainte-Anne de Kent to enjoy their retirements. Anna spent her last years with her daughter Florine Gravitis (Andy) in Oakville, ON. She will also be sadly missed by her three grandchildren Lisa, Lianne, and Michael and one great grandson, Kyle. She also leaves to mourn six sisters, Emerise Allain, Sophie Allain both of Saint-Edouard de Kent, Marie Richard (Benoit) of Moncton, Geneviève Latreille of Fort Convington, NY, Hélène Richard (Emilien) of Gardner, Mass, and Nœlla Saulnier of Dieppe, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Emilienne, Thérèse, Octavie and Pauline and two brothers, Michel and Auguste.
Visitation will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Thursday May 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Friday May 7th, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
