Rolande Thérèse Martin, 77, of Shédiac and formerly of Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at her residence. Born on March 31, 1933 in Edmundston, NB, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Almida (Levesque) Parent. She was a well-known business woman and former owner-operator of New Moon Restaurant and Motel in Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska. She is survived by four daughters: Micheline "Miche" Martin (Hélène Lavigne) of Cap-de-Cocagne, Colette Maillet (Charles) of Brossard, PQ, Louise Martin-Thibault (Numa) of Shediac Cape and Carole Muckler (Steve) of Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska; one brother: Romain Parent (Madeleen) of Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska; five grand children: Michelle, Denis, Monic, Brigitte et Kacey. She was predeceased by her husband, Guy J. Martin (1978), and five brothers: Allain, Léonide, Rodrigue, Nazaire and Léopold.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and at J.B. Côté & Fils Funeral Home, Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska (735-8435) on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska R.C. Church on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs Cemetery, Edmundston.
