The passing of Muriel Ethel Lyons of New Bandon, NB, wife of the late Manford Lyons, occurred on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home. Born on April 27, 1920 in McNamee, NB she was a daughter of the late Charles Stewart and Sarah (Munn) Lyons. Muriel was a member of McNamee Pentecostal Assembly. Muriel is survived by daughters, Zelda Munn (Oscar) and Betty Lyons (friend, Calvin O'Donnell) both of New Bandon, NB; son, David Lyons (Sylvia) of Gatineau, PQ; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris and Dora; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Muriel was predeceased by son, Samuel; grandson, Brian and Albert; brothers, Tennison, Roy and Willard Stewart; sister, Donna Larlee; sisters-in-law, Hazel and Isabel.
Visitation will take place from McNamee Pentecostal Assembly, McNamee, NB on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the church on Saturday May 29, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Cole Price officiating. Interment will take place in Porter Cove Pentecostal Cemetery.
