It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivan Curtis announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Thursday, May 27th, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Grace (nee Lavender) Curtis; children: Jerry (Toni), Gary (Brenda), Fred (Winnie), Patsy (Terry) Barrett, Brenda Curtis (Rodney Brake), Ivan (Wanda), Tim (Arlene Morey); grandchildren: Jerry Jr. (Jennifer), Brampton, ON, Shawn, PEI, Taralynn (Craig) Tucker, Gerald Curtis (Charmaine McAuley), Terry Barrett (Patricia Byrne), Tracey Barrett (Mark Vaters), Crystal (Lewis Blanchard), St. John's, Joe, Grand Prairie, AB; great-grandchildren: Mitchell Prosper, Nicole Byrne, Billy Barrett, Shayna (Keisha) Tucker, Faith and Sarah Curtis; sister Wilena Howe, Upper Gullies, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Lemuel and Amanda Curtis. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 10-12 noon. The Funeral Service will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue on Saturday, May 29th at 2:00 p.m., Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
