1918-2010 - Leona Margaret Heywood of Fredericton and formerly of Carleton County, New Brunswick passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home, Hartland, NB. She was born at Woodstock, NB on October 3, 1918. Daughter of the late Lewis and Phoebe (DeWitt) Briggs. Survived by her daughters Sylvia Hawton (Earl) of Prince William, NB and Lee Heywood of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Nancy Larsen, Deborah Wood, Jeremy Hawton and Jason Hawton; great grandchildren Christina Wood-Palao (David), Tiffany Wood, Benjamin Wood; sister Evelyn Whitehouse; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Faye Briggs and brother Eugene Briggs.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. from The Culberson Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Hoag officiating.
