Philibert "Phil" LeBlanc, 82, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Born on August 19, 1927 in Balmoral, NB, he was the son of the late René and Anna (Basque) LeBlanc. Before his retirement, Phil was self-employed working in his family music enterprise. He is survived by his wife, Lise (Boutin) LeBlanc, four daughters: Jo-Anne Kennedy (John) of Moncton, Suzanne Lebans (Paul) of Dartmouth, NS, Diane Blakely (Steve) of Kingston, ON, and Lise-Anne DaPonte (Octavio) of Irishtown; one son: Daniel (Caroline) of Moncton; two brothers: Ludger (Rosalie) of Balmoral and Roger (Angélie) of St. Catharines, ON; 17 grandchildren: Jessica, Alexandra, Francesca, Josiah, Joshua, Johanna, Phillipe, Justin, Daniel, Sophie, Kayla, Austin, Christine, Isabel, Daniella, Joaquim and Carlos, as well as one great grandson, Maxim.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral.
