Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on June 7, 2010, Mrs. Anne Marguerite (Murray) Holland, wife of the late Manford Henry Holland, formerly of Blacks Harbour. Born at Pennfield NB on December 12, 1921, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Myrtle E. (Brown) Murray. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by one son, Lloyd Douglas Holland of Blacks Harbour, two daughters; Ester (Mrs. Maynard Clinch) of St. George NB and Jean (Mrs. William Wright) of Pennfield, seven grandchildren; Jeff (Chris) Clinch of Chamcook NB, Michael (Paula) Clinch of St. George, Lori (Bob) Adams of Idaho, Sandy Dewar of Belize, Brian (Dawn) Dewar of St. George, Judy Dewar of Fredericton NB and Lynn (Michael) Shaw of St. George, eight great grandchildren; Katherine Dewar, Jan Dewar, Reece Dewar, Liam Robinson, Alisia Shaw, Sarah Shaw, Rachel Clinch and Joshua Clinch, two sisters; Fern Kernighan of Moncton NB and Myrna Murray of Montreal PQ, three brothers; Lester (Dorothy) Murray of Moncton, William (Myrtle) Murray of Winchester ON and Richard (Barb) Murray of Picton ON and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Manford, she was predeceased by one daughter, Marla Dewar and by five sisters and one brother. Prior to her retirement, Marguerite worked for Connor's Bros. until 1986, when she retired from Connor's Save Easy as head cashier. She was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39, Blacks Harbour NB, and the Ladies Auxiliary. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. At Marguerite's request, there will be no visitation or service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In Marguerite's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
