Passed peacefully away at home in the presence of his loving wife Rita (nee Crowley) on Friday, June 25, 2010, Richard Francis Mahoney, aged 70 years. Richard was predeceased by his mother and father, Margaret and Michael Mahoney of Conception Harbour, his brothers Albert and Michael and sister Barbara Dawson. He leaves to mourn his wife and best friend Rita, daughter Michelle (Larry) Priester, Flanders, New Jersey, Richard, Maple Ridge, B.C., Marcel (Melissa), Mississauga, ON and Roger, St. John's; four precious grandchildren: Michael, Laura and Melissa Priestaer, and Aiden Mahoney; sister Bernice (William) Dawson, Kingston, ON; brother-in-law John Dawson, Scarborough, ON; sister-in-law Genevieve Mahoney, Corner Brook. Also leaving to mourn the Crowley family of Holyrood, loving nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends in Ontario and Newfoundland. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 with Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood.
