At the Grand Falls General Hospital, July 17, 2010, Mrs. Cecile Rossignol of Grand Falls and formerly of Plaster Rock passed away at the age of 86. She was the wife of the late Alexandre "Alec" Rossignol. Born at Saint-Andre in 1923, she was a daughter of the late Onezime and Alphonsine (LaFrance) Martin. She is survived by one daughter, Ida Lavoie (Guy) of Grand Falls, two sons, Clovis (Gaetane) of Grand Falls and Yvon (Diana) of Plaster Rock, son-in-law, Patrick Cote of Drummond, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, Camille and Adrien "Pit" of Hartford, Connecticut, four sisters, Antoinette Martin of Grand Falls, Mona Belanger (Louis) of Edmundston, Lorraine Michaud (Mello) of Montreal and Lucia Tardif (Yvon) of Florida, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Jean-Guy Rossignol and Florence Cote, one sister, Edwidge Michaud, six brothers, Merill, Louis "Boy", Julien "Coq", Robert, Gerald and Jean "John".
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 20th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Plaster Rock.
