HATT, Dorothy Bernice - 83, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County and formerly of Milton, Queens County, passed away Sunday, July 18th, 2010, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. She was a daughter of the late Douglas and Ruth (Freeman) Teal. Dorothy was born in Port Joli, Queens County and moved to Milton, Queens County at an early age, where she spent her youth. Her hobbies were baking and entertaining as she always had a "pot" on just in case of company arriving. Her family was her pride and joy and as she always said "I love looking after my children". Dorothy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past Matron of Queens Chapter #34, Liverpool. She is survived by daughters Deborah (Daniel) Corkum, Pamela (Albert) Walfield, Shelagh Rawding, all of Bridgewater; sons David (Theresa) Rawding, of Hampton, New Brunswick, Daniel (Linda) Rawding, of British Columbia; daughter-in-law Sharon Rawding, of Bridgewater; sister Beatrice, of Barrie, Ontario; brothers Charles N. (Peg) Teal, of Bridgewater, Ted (Gail), of Toronto, Ontario. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren Jay, Jennifer, Gena, Solomon, Devina, Jackson, Heather, William, Melinda, Jacomina, Sarah, Amanda, Christina, Angela, Samantha and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband William Gerald Rawding; second husband Horace Haliburton Hatt; son Larry Rawding; sister Deveda; brothers Alfred, Freeman; step-brother Gordon Teal. An Order of the Eastern Star Service was held Tuesday, July 20th, from Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 21st, 2010, from the Milton Christian Church. Rev. Jennifer Garbin officiated. Burial was in Zion United Church Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
