Passed in: Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: August 5th, 2010

Ann Louise Richardson (61), Bridgewater, NS. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, Ann Richardson on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the South Shore Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Mom was born in Bridgewater in 1949 and after marrying, moved to New Brunswick, settling in Saint John in 1972 and worked for many years as medical secretary to family physician Dr. Eric Christensen. She returned to Bridgewater in 1990 and has resided there since. Mom was an extremely special individual who could best be described as having a kind soul and a generous spirit, most often thinking of others before herself. She was a past member of the Beta Sigma Phi women's sorority (Saint John & Bridgewater), and Peacemakers (Bridgewater). She enjoyed crafting and gardening and spending time with good friends over food and movies. Mom loved dogs and had two special furry friends in her recent lifetime, Buffy and Maggie, whom she adored. She is survived by partner Stewart Reid, daughters Beth Richardson (Glen Creamer) and Heather Baker (Scott), mother Elizabeth (Betty) Mailman, sister Carol Zwicker (Tommy) and three beloved grandchildren Cole, Carson and Reilly. Mom was predeceased by her father Clifford Mailman in 1998.
In keeping with her wishes, a graveside ceremony will held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Memorial donations may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital Foundation, or to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter, both in Bridgewater. On-line condolences can be made by signing the guest book at www.corkumfuneralhome.ca
