James H. Jacobs - 71 years - June 12, 1939 - July 23, 2010- Passed peacefully away July 23, 2010 at the Fogo Island Health Center. Predeceased by father Henry Jacobs, mother Eva Jacobs and brother Eric Jacobs. He leaves to mourn brothers Winston (Bridget), Roy (Phyllis-Ann) as well as one niece and two nephews. Funeral service was held at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Family service was held July 25 at the Fogo Island Funeral Home. Participating clergy included Rev. Terry Caines, Father Bill Pearce, Harry Jacobs Lay Reader. Organist was Louise Coffin. Pallbearers were Ivan Jacobs, Claude Coffin, Andre Penton, Bernard Penton, Cory Penton and Alonzo Decker. Interment took place at the Anglican Cemetery in Shoal Bay. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Barry Keats of Fogo Island Funeral Home.
