David passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Vancouver General Hospital after a short period of failing health. Born in Saint John on December 24, 1950 and raised in the south end, he was the son of the late Donald and Pearl (Jeffries) Breen. David is survived by his brothers Donald (Mary) of Lincoln, Michael and Bernard of Saint John, and Kevin (Judy Anne) of Gagetown as well as his sister Ernestine (Cookie) Hamilton (Jack) of Wickham. David spent most of his working life in Vancouver, serving for the last ten years as the night manager of the Vancouver Yacht Club. He loved to play the guitar, compose his own music and dance to his own drummer.
At David's request, his ashes will be returned to Saint John for committal. The family would like to thank the staff of the Vancouver General Hospital as well as David's good friend Mark Osborne of North Delta, B.C. for their support during this difficult time.
