The death of Frederick (Fred) Garnet Carter of Sackville, N.B., occured suddenly at his home on Aug. 20, 2010. Born Aug. 30, 1969, he was the much loved son of Allan and Pat Carter of Sackville, N.B. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and his dog Jake. He was a jack-of-all trades. He formerly served with the Sackville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he will be sadly missed by his special friend, Heather Moores, his sister, Mary McClary (Ron) of River Hebert, N.S., a brother, Allan Colin (Crystal) of Fort McMurray, A.B., nieces Kelsey-Lynne and Anna, and nephew Brodie. He was also a special uncle to Megan and Conrad Shea, and Matthew and Christian Moore and many others. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Max and Marjorie Christie and paternal grandparents, Garnet and Mary Carter, cousin Leslie Brownell, and several aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are under the care of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, N.B., (506-364-1300). Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. from the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Point de Bute Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Fred's memory may do so to the charity of your choice.
