Passed away August 24, 2010, after a lengthy illness, at the Central NL Regional Health Centre, Ronald Gordon Hannon of Bishop's Falls, aged 78. Ron retired from CN Railway in 1988. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice; infant daughter Edna; parents Jessie Maud and George; brothers Reginald, Alphonsus, and Edward; one half-sister. Left to mourn are sons, Bradford (Sharon) of Lower Sackville, NS, and Ronald (Judy) of Fort McMurray, AB; daughter, Dianne (Bill Earle) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; grandsons, Daron (Maggie), William, Aaron (Sarah), and Curtis, and grandaughters Dawn (Lee) and Stephanie (Toby) and four very special great-grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Connor and Regan; 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 3 half-brothers, 7 half-sisters, 1 step-brother, 1 step-sister and their spouses. Also leaving to mourn his special friend and companion Audrey and a very large circle of family and friends. Majors Wycliffe and Shirley will conduct the funeral service on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at The Salvation Army Citadel, Bishop's Falls with interment at the Salvation Army cemetery. Pallbearers are Brad Hannon, Bill Earle, Daron Hannon, William Earle Jr., Toby Penney and Ed Baker. Donations in his memory can be made to The Children's Wish Foundation.
