Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, August 23, 2010, Rector 'Rick' King of Carbonear, age 58 years. Predeceased by parents: James and Edith. Left to mourn his loving wife: Pauline; one daughter: Pam (Reg) Parsons, Corner Brook; two sons: Brian (Jennilee), Carbonear and Brad (Sara), Edmonton, AB; two adoring grandsons: Noah and Luke; two brothers: Cyril (Vivian), Buchans and Derek, Mount Pearl; one sister: Helen (Max) Badcock, Mount Pearl; uncle: Leslie (Nita) Chubbs, Carbonear; aunts: Mildred King, Corner Brook, Winnie Soper, Hant's Harbour and Julie May King, Perry's Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Friday, August 27 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or to Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
