1934 - 2010 - Hubert Gallant, 76 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, August 29th, 2010 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. He was married to the late Laurida (Robichaud) Gallant (2006). Born in Richiboucto on February 11th, 1934 he was the son of the late Napoléon Gallant and Marie-Louise (Robichaud) Gallant. Hubert was a school teacher; he taught at Polyvalente Clément-Cormier, Bouctouche for numerous years before taking his retirement. Hubert also did several years of volunteer work with his wife in Cursillo and Teen Encounter and also in the parish. He will be sadly missed by his mother Marie-Louise Gallant of Villa Maria, Saint-Louis de Kent, his four sons, Paul-Emile (Ellen) of Fredericton, Louis (Jacynthe), Roger (Micheline) both of Bouctouche, Marcel (Raymond) of Dieppe, his seven grandchildren, Claire, Danielle, Isabelle, Janie, Eric, Jessica and Monika. He also leaves to mourn one sister Aline Mazerolle (Fernand) of Richiboucto and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche, on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 1 to 2:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 at 3:00 pm. Internment will be in the parish cemetery.
