Lafond - Muriel B. suddenly passed away September 2, 2010 in Prince Albert at the age of 50 years old. Muriel leaves to mourn her, four sisters Sharon (Jamie) Godfrey, Emily McCulloch, Beverly (Keith) Roy and Geraldine Umpherville; five brothers, Glen (Rhonda) Lafond, Melvin (Maureen) Lafond, Kelvin (Marcia) Lafond, Dwayne (Amelia) Lafond and Kyle (Katrina) Lafond all of Prince Albert; two God-children Chelsey Vinney and Danielle Arcand and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Josephine and Isadore Lafond; one brother Vern Lafond; two sisters Mary Beckman and Karen Lafond; one nephew Lance Lafond; one niece Karen Lafond and one brother-in-law Charlie Beckman. Muriel always put everyone before herself. Her laughter and smile would always light up a room. Muriel loved to work and she was always a hard worker, many of her jobs included Northern Lights Casino, Prince Albert Inn and up to her passing Suzy Cues. It was at her jobs where she always met a lot of people that made her day special. She was very proud of her baby, it was her Pontiac Grand AM. Her car was her pride and joy. She would sometimes just get in her car and drive to Saskatoon just to have lunch with her nieces, or just drive no matter where it took her. No matter where she travelled to, she never left home without her purse, smokes and a cup of Tim Horton's coffee. You would never see Muriel without that coffee cup in her hand. Muriel had many co-workers that she became good friends with but one remained her best friend who was always there for her even though they were miles apart, Allison Davies, the family would like to thank you for being that rock for Muriel when she needed a shoulder to lean on. Wake Service will commence at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2010 to Monday, September 6, 2010. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Both services will be held at the Muskeg Lake Gymnasium, Muskeg Lake, SK. Interment will be held at Muskeg Lake Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
