Linda Rose Mack, age 66, of Mount Uniacke, Hants County, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 on the Q.E.II Health Sciences Centre. Born on July 16, 1944 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle Baird. Linda spent her years as a stay at home mom who enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Surviving are her spouse, Jack Purvis; son Chris (Kate) Mack of Oromocto, NB; Siblings, Ralph (Joan) Baird of Fredericton, NB; Jean (Hubert) Hanson of Waasis,NB; James (Judy) Baird of Waasis, NB; Sally (Larry) Estabrooks of Waasis, NB; Howard (Brenda) Baird of Waasis, NB; and Mary Smith of Oromocto, NB.; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Myrtle Baird of Waasis; sister-in-law Ruby Baird (nee Mott) and brother-in-law, Leonard Piercy.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in New Brunswick at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
