Pat Burns of Saint John passed away peacefully on September 4, 2010.
Pat was born in Saint John on June 4, 1946, son of the late James and Mary (Shannon) Burns.
He was kind, giving and will be sorely missed.
Pat will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Margie; children, Patti (Steve) Meehan, Paul (Kelly), Lesley (Peter) Cusack; grandchildren, Martin, Calvin, James, Jaclyn, Janelle, William and Jacob. Also survived by brothers, Joe (Barb), Bill, Mike (Karen), Jim (Judy), Fred (Mary), Kenny (Sheree), Norman; sisters, Joan (Bill) Bastarache, Betty Lanigan, Peggy (Bob) Matheson, Tina (Donnie) Matheson, Connie Hooper; brothers-in-law, Bill (Jean) Shea, Larry Mason; and many nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents, Pat was predeceased by his sisters, Casey Shea, Susie Mason; sister-in-law, Dot Burns; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Lanigan and Danny Hooper. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Assumption on Wednesday at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Maces Bay Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
