It is with great sadness we announce the death of our mother, Phyllis Feehan, who went quickly and peacefully at the Dialysis Unit of the Beach Grove Home with Karen and Dale at her side bringing to an end her long courageous battle with diabetes and heart disease on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. She was in her 76th year. God took her home and she is now at peace and pain free. Daughter of the late James and Alice McKay. Wife of the late Frankie Feehan and companion of the late Jack Laybolt. Mother of Jeanie Feehan (Rodney MacKinnon), Marlene (Miles) Affleck, Verna (Peter) MacDonald and Lenny (Kathy) Feehan. Sister of Theresa MacPhee (the late Angus) and James (Julie) McKay. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Adam, Kyle, Colin, Rachael and Randy Affleck, Kristy, Katie and Curtis Feehan and Brandon and Jessica Bowers, great-grandchild Jacob Bowers and special niece Dianne Doyle. She was also predeceased by her grandson Derrick Feehan and sister and brother-in-law Sadie and Harold Doyle. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to St. Andrew's Church, Mt. Stewart, for funeral mass at 2. Interment to follow in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Due to allergies please refrain from wearing perfumes and scents.
