Charles 'Chuck' Schima, 72, beloved husband and father died Sept. 5, 2010, of Alzheimer's disease.
Born and raised in New Waterford, N.S., he served in the Canadian Navy. Chuck moved to Tewksbury, Mass. in 1967 where he worked for Verizon until his retirement in 1998. He was an avid athlete and sports enthusiast.
Charles is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Georgina (Prozenar) Schima.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret (MacDonald); daughter and son-in-law, Hermine and Paul Basso and grandson, Jeremy of Tyngsboro, Mass.; brother, Robert of Brentwood, New Hampshire; dear friends, Morris Wood of British Columbia, and Hugh Grimshaw of Nova Scotia.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro, Mass., Saturday, Sept. 18 at 9 a.m.
