We, the family of the late Mary Jessie MacDonald wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our relatives, friends and neighbours for the kindness and support shown during our recent loss. To all those who visited and brought food to our homes, phoned, e-mailed, sent mass-cards, flowers spiritual enrollments, memorials, charitable and monetary donations, we thank you. We would like to thank the doctors and ICU staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for the excellent care given during our mother's illness. To Dr. Greg Myatt, Dr. Ann Frances D'Intino and Janice Black thank you for your many years of care and support. Sincere thanks to Janette Mac Kinnon for your friendship and kindness.To our mother's caregivers, Sheila, Theresa and Mary, your dedication and compassion will never be forgotten. For the many visits and excellent care provided by the VON, we will be forever grateful. The family wishes to thank Father Doug MacDonald for the beautiful service and eulogy celebrating our mother's life. Thank you also to Father Albert Mac Pherson for concelebrating Mass. To the eucharistic ministers and altar servers our our special thanks. To the readers, daughters-in-law, Barbara and Diane MacDonald,the gift bearers, granddaughters, Angela Douglas, Jennifer Graveline along with Alyssa Romard and Ashley Janes, thank you. Our sincerest thanks also to the pall bearers , grandsons, Robert Tighe, Paul, Mark and David MacDonald, son-in-law Derek Tatlock and family friend Danny Mac Neil.We are deeply appreciative to St. Leonard's choir and to Nipper Mac Leod for providing the beautiful songs that touched all of our hearts. To the New Waterford and Area Retired teacher's Association, a special thank you for providing the honor guard. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for your prayers at the funeral home and also to the Ladies Auxiliary for providing lunch. We would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of V.J. Mac Gillivray Funeral Home for their compassion and kindness shown to our family during this difficult time. To all who helped in any way, your kindness will always be remembered and is sincerely appreciated.
