Henry Arthur Moore

The death of Henry Moore of Hampton, NB, husband of Ernestine (Kelly) Moore, occurred Friday, September 10th, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Southern England, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary Eileen (Young) Moore.
Besides his loving wife, Ernestine, Henry is also survived by his three children, Douglas Moore (Myrtle) of Hampton, Tanya LeBlanc (Normand) of Moncton and Kelly Moore (Gail) of Hampton; five precious grandchildren, Timothy Moore, Alex and Andrew LeBlanc, Natalie and Jennifer Moore; several nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by one sister, Eileen Baird and two brothers, Richard and Charles.
Henry was a WWII Veteran, having landed on Juno Beach, June 6, 1944 and participated in the Liberation of Holland. Upon returning to Canada, he worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad for 37 years, until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed church, playing the accordion and harmonica. Henry especially loved his family and cherished his 5 grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, 1063 Hampton, NB, (5832-5541), with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Tribute to a Veteran service will be held Sunday at 6:45 PM. A funeral service will be held from St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 978 Main St., Hampton, on Monday, September 13th, 2010, at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held immediately following the service, at the church hall. Interment will take place in Larlee Creek Cemetery, Perth-Andover, Tuesday, September 14th, at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held immediately following the interment, at St. James United Church Hall. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
