Mary Jean Bagnall, 84, passed away peacefully at Northwood's Ivany Place, Bedford, N.S., on Sept. 19, 2010.
Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., on March 26, 1926, she was a daughter of James Angus and Katherine (Handrahan) O'Brien.
She worked for a number of years at the Bank of Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, P.E.I., and at Halifax City Hall. She was a gregarious person, loved to travel and noted for her culinary skills. She will be missed by her many friends.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Sarah Weagle (Halifax); nieces, Gloria Jean Falle (Truro), Dr. Katherine O'Brien (Toronto), nephew John Weagle (Halifax); grandnieces, Jean Stewart (Truro) and Sarah Werenka (Truro); and sister-in-law Rita, O'Brien (Montréal).
She was predeceased by sister, Irene (Cheverie); brothers, Michael (in infancy), Reginald, Vernon and Elmer.
Cremation has taken place. No flowers by request of family.

A memorial service was held at Northwood's Ivany Place Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24.
