Passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 Wilfred Merle McKay at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Joyce, Robinson's; daughter Dianne (Phonse) Bennett, McKay's; sons: Robert Wilfred McKay, Robinson's, Bradley (Eileen) McKay, Robinson's; foster-sons: Robert (Cathy) Walsh, Fort McMurray, AB, William (Donna) Walsh, Barrie, ON; grandchildren: Paul Bennett, Burton, NB, Aaron Bennett, Pouch Cove, NL, Megan Bennett, Fort McMurray, AB, Melanie Walsh, Barrie, ON, Bethany Walsh, Barrie, ON; sister Onie McCarthy, Deer Lake; brothers: James McKay, McKay's, Alvin (Netta) McKay, Scarborough, ON; sister-in-law Rachel McKay, McKay's; brother-in-law Roy Alley, Stephenville as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Lucy McKay; brother William McKay; sisters Edna Alley, Edith (Max) Shears, Melba (Ernest) Roberts, Rosalie McKay; brother-in-law Charles McCarthy; nieces: Elaine Quilty, Donna McInnis, Nancy Roberts. Friends may visit St. George Anglican Church in Robinson's on Saturday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 27th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Robinson's. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.
