Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Tuesday, September 28th, 2010, Mr. George Phillip Pierce, age 72 years, of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn his loving family: two sons, Gary, and Tony (Denette) at Harbour Breton; two daughters, Jackie Jacobs (Shawn) at St. John's and Vicki Puddister (Adam) at Sherwood Park, Alberta; five grandchildren, Hannah, Alexander, Sarah, Carly and Neal; two sisters, Martha Hunt and Blanche Simms (Jacob) at Harbour Breton; brother, Walter Pierce (Ida) and sister in law, Effie Pierce all at Harbour Breton; two special caregivers, Chantal Pierce and Holly Molloy; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Emily; brother, Norman; sister in law, Rosalie; brother, William; brother in law, James Hunt and parents, Harrison and Sarah Pierce. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1st, 2010 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at The Anglican Cemetery in Harbour Breton.Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.
