Anne Rennie

Born In: Mabou, Nova Scotia, Canada

Passed in: Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: October 2nd, 2010

Anne Isobel (Cameron) Rennie, 81, of Bedford passed away peacefully at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.
Born in Mabou, Cape Breton, Anne was the eldest daughter of Duncan Angus Cameron and Martha Hicks Cameron (Adams).
Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by two infant brothers, Norman and Ronald, and in recent years her brothers, John, Sydney and Bill (Rita), Arlington, Mass. Anne was also predeceased by her former husbands, Elgin Asselstine, Willowdale, Ont., Bill Spinelli, Bellville, Ont. and James Rennie, Wildwood, Florida.
Anne is survived by her sister, 'Minnie' Mary Campbell (Chas) of Sydney and lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Anne left Cape Breton in her early adulthood to pursue a career in the field of municipal administration, working primarily in the Toronto area.
Following her retirement Anne resided in both Nova Scotia and Florida eventually settling in Bedford, N.S.
Anne enjoyed her career, membership and participation in her church, many hobby interests, and her frequent opportunities to travel. But more than any of these activities Anne found pleasure in the special moments she was able to spend with her family members, old and young alike. Anne seldom missed an opportunity to provide one with an update on the wonderful or otherwise accomplishments of her beloved grand-nieces and nephews, even if a minor exaggeration or embellishment was required.
Anne's passing will leave a hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. However, we are comforted by knowing Anne is finally at rest.
Anne's family would like to extend sincere thanks to those who cared for Anne in her final years, most notably caregiver and friend, Joanna from the great island and the caring staff of the Dykeland Lodge.
A funeral mass and celebration of Anne's life will be held at a later date in Sydney, N.S.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any branch of the St. Vincent DePaul Society or a local CWL.
