December 16, 1927 - October 13, 2010

On October 13, 2010, Raymond "Ray" Donat Poissant passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. He was surrounded by his beautiful wife and their seven children.

Ray was the youngest son of Anna and Xyste Poissant and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. In 1948, he married the love of his life Dorothy. Together, they developed a successful construction company, Ray Poissant Construction LTD. which was responsible for building numerous houses, schools, churches and other buildings throughout Edmonton.

Following retirement, Ray moved his family to Kamloops, BC where he pursued his passion for golf and gardening. Ray will be remembered for his sense of humour and love of life.

Ray is survived by his lovely wife Dorothy; children, Lynda Poissant, Gerry (Judy) Poissant, Rolland Poissant, Michelle Poissant, Jocelynn (Randy) Tyler, Richard Poissant and Denise Poissant; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
