Jack Furzer

Jack Furzer passed away, October 20, 2010 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Stratford, Ontario on March 26, 1931 to the late George and Florence (LeSouter) Furzer. Jack served in the military for many years and was a Korean War Veteran. He volunteered with many organizations, was a past President of Branch #4 Royal Canadian Legion, a member of the Epsilon Y's Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus. Survived by his wife Gladys Kelly-Furzer; children Muir (Emma), Carmenn Hynes (Keith), Jeremy (Angela), Jonathan (Sandy), and Doreen King (Paul); stepchildren Patrick Kelly (Kim), Timothy Kelly (Gwen) and Karen Dionne (Bob); a sister Rozella Williamson of Burlington, ON; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brothers George, Wilfred, Clifford and Charles, sisters Eunice Collver and Marcella Bryans, as well as his first wife Doreen Arac. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. Fredericton on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held Monday at 12 noon from St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church with Father Gerry White officiating. Interment in the Forest Hill Cemetery Field of Honor. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will hold a tribute on Sunday evening at 7pm at the Funeral Home.
