Elizabeth "Anne" Wilson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Anne Wilson, 81, of Sackville, New Brunswick, while comforted by her family at Protem Health Services.
Born in Toronto on November 18, 1928, Anne was the daughter of Richard Vincent D'Arcy and Elsie (Cragg) D'Arcy. She was a graduate of Toronto's Malvern High School. While pursuing her modeling career in Toronto, Anne was swept off her feet by John Wynn Wilson and they were married on March 18, 1949. They were married for 49 years when John passed away in January, 1999.
Anne had a full-time job raising five sons. She was an expert in antique furniture and glass, and a long-time member of the Sackville Art Association and the Once in a While Club. Anne's interests included landscape painting, which was highlighted by her annual 'paint outs' with artists coming from far and wide. Anne was known as a wonderful hostess and loved a party. Her New Year's Eve parties were legendary. And, of course, she loved her cats.
Anne will be sadly missed by her sons Mike (Jane) Wilson of Sackville, Chris (Judy) Wilson of Moncton, David (Tara) Wilson of St Margaret's Bay, NS, Tim (Debbie) Wilson of Ottawa, and John (Mary) Wilson of Sackville. She had 12 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Annis, and brother, John D'Arcy, both of Toronto.
A memorial service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 6. A reception at Jones Funeral Home will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be greatly appreciated and may be made by visiting www.jonesfuneralhome.ca.
