William Crawford Flemming - Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Guildwood Nursing Home, Scarborough, Ontario on October 23, 2010 at the age of 91. Devoted son of William James and Lillian Rose (Crawford) Flemming of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He served Canada in the Second World War in the Perth Regiment, Canadian Army, as Lieutenant. After returning from four years overseas, he joined Canadian Gypsum Company, Windsor, Nova Scotia. He was transferred to Little Narrows Gypsum Company as plant manager in 1954, then to Hillsborough, New Brunswick, Montreal and then Toronto, retiring at age 65. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting, but his favourite hobby was camping which he did as long as his health permitted. He is survived by his wife Ena (nee Munro) of 63 years, sister Lillian (Dr. A Shaw) of Halifax and sister-in-law Betty of Halifax. Predeceased by two brothers Reg and Doug. Surviving children include Margaret of Guelph, Ontario, Bill (Donna) of Miramichi, New Brunswick, Pat of Scarborough, Ontario, Debbie of Montreal, Mary of Vermont, Susan of Holstein, Ontario, Mike of Scarborough, Ontario and Mark of Scarborough, Ontario. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Lisa, Jason, Kristopher, Jennifer, Andrew, Elizabeth, Morgan and two great- grandchildren: Zacchary and Louisianna Mae. A private Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, Whitby, Ontario at a later date. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby, Ontario.
