It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Catherine (Kay) Gale announces her passing on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband: Walter J. Gale; son: Francis Gale; brothers; Bill Chaisson, Gerald (Kay) Chaisson; sister: Rita (Stan) MacDonald; grand daughter; Dianna (Bernard) Downey and daughter-in-law: Mary (Mamie) Gale. Leaving to mourn are her sons; Kevin (Joan) Gale, Stephanie, Melanie, Adam, Scott, Courtney, Jeffery, Megan and Mark; great grandchildren; Carla, Ryan, Marissa, Trevor, Kail, Halle and Evan; sister; Terry (John) Barany; step-brother: Hubert (Aggie) Walters; sisters-in-law: Marg Chaisson, Geraldine Gale; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and cherished friends. Visitation took place from St. Ann’s Parish in Upper Ferry, Codroy Valley on Monday from 2-4 and 7 – 9 p.m. from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. Father’s Maurice O’Quinn and Edward Terry officiating, followed by interment at Mount St. Thomas cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port aux Basques. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
