1925 - 2010 - It's with great sadness that we announce that Antoine Caissie, passed away on Wednesday, November 24th, 2010, at the age of 85. He was the beloved spouse of Bella Caissie for the past 56 years. Born in Rogersville on August 16th, 1925, he was the son of the late Thaddée Caissie and the late Eugénie Chavarie Caissie. He his survived by his beloved wife Bella Caissie, as well as his beloved children: Robert (Jeanne Blacquière) of Frédéricton, Fernand (Wendy Doiron) and Claudine (Cyrille Cormier) of Rogersville; his dear grandchildren: André (Murielle Vautour) Caissie and Joëlle Caissie of Rogersville, Dominic (Chantal Lanteigne) Cormier and Isabelle (Justin Thébeau) Cormier of Moncto ; one great grandson: Tyler Caissie; one sister, Eveline (late Albert) Cormier of Rogersville ; two sisters-in-law: Ida (late Onésime) Caissie of Downsview, Ont. and Yvonne (late Joseph) Caissie of Rogersville, as well as many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by one daughter, Marie (at birth), as well as his brothers and sisters: Gérard, Olive, Onésime, Olivier, Joseph, Yvonne, Pierre, Marguerite, Antoine, and Zosime. Antoine has worked different jobs, one which was as a school bus driver in the Rogersville area for the last 21 years prior to his retirement in 1990. Antoine and Bella loved to travel by car. He liked to work wood and was very precise. After his retirement, he built himself a mandoline and a violin. He was a calm and kind man, he will be missed by his family.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the salon "La Colombe", 11325, route 126, in Rogersville, starting at 2:00pm, this Thursday, November 25th. The funeral service will be held at the Saint-François-de-Sales RC church, in Rogersville, on November 26th, at 11:00am. Visiting hours: this Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday, November 26th, from 9:00am until the departure for the funeral service. A donation to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Rogersville cemetery would be appreciated.
