McDOW, Linda Gail - 56, Kingston, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at home, with loved ones present. Born in Berwick, Kings Co., on December 24, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Jean (Fredericks) McDow. Linda grew up with her family in Somerset and had attended Central Kings Rural High School. She had worked at Bezanson and Chase Cranberry Bog, Aylesford, since 1980 and was loved and revered for her hard work and devotion to her work and to her fellow employees. Linda also worked seasonally ay Pierce's Farm, Aylesford, and her hard work and dedication will be missed by the great people who employed her there and called her "friend". She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and loved her family unconditionally. Linda spent her life doing anything it took to help her family get ahead in life and be comfortable. She has been there for everyone, who had the opportunity to spend anytime with her, and was well known for her strong will, generosity and love for the people around her. Linda loved reading, knitting, playing BINGO and talking to close friends. She never hesitated to help out someone in need and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. Surviving and sadly missed by her dear and loving daughter, Deanna (Derek Atkins) Bowlby, Kingston; her grandchildren, Kelsey, Brandon and Krystal Bowlby; her precious beloved great-granddaughter, Angel Connell Bowlby; brothers, Robert (Leah), Aylesford; Darrell (Joanne), Kentville; sisters, Sandra (Kevin) Rhodenizer, Berwick; Darlene (Bev) Foote, Somerset; several nieces and nephews. There was a private visitation in the evening of Friday, December 3. A Graveside Service for family members and close friends took place at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 4, in the Berwick Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Lowe officiated. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
