WILHELM KOEHLER

Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: December 12th, 2010

1936 - 2010

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilhelm Koehler of Kamloops, B.C., on Sunday, December 12th at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice at the age of 74 years.
Bill will be greatly missed by his loving wife Christa of 53 years of marriage, daughters Sabine Koehler Sackiw and Britta Koehler Shepard, grandsons Alexander and David Sackiw, as well as his sons-in-law Terrence Sackiw of Edmonton, Alberta and Daniel Shepard from New Hampshire, USA.

Born in Wuppertal, Germany, Bill immigrated to Canada with his family in the 1960's. They moved from Edmonton in 1970 and have lived in Kamloops for 40 years. Bill was a trained master painter and had his own company in Kamloops for the majority of those years. He had an extremely strong work ethic and always believed in precision and quality.

Bill was in short.......a character. Humor was one of his best qualities. He was great at telling jokes, always had a quick wit and a twinkle in his eyes. But, he was also an extremely loving individual who loved nature, music, his daughters and especially his Christa.

He was a proud member of the Elk's Legion 44 and truly enjoyed his time with his Elk brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27th in the chapel of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 177 Tranquille Road, with Rev. Sandra Sugden officiating.
