Hazel Evelyn Tymo of Pitt Meadows passed into the presence of the Lord on December 30, 2010 at 86 years of age.

She is survived by her daughters Della (Vic) St. Laurent of Swan Hills, Alberta, Barb (Jim) Waterhouse of Pitt Meadows and Cheryl (Pat) Miner of Clearwater, BC; grandchildren Courtney Waterhouse, Shawn St. Laurent, Crystal (Wayne) Adamek, Brooke and Brandon Miner; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Predeceased by her loving husband William Tymo (1993).

Hazel was born in Pathlow, Saskatchewan on July 17, 1924. She lived in Kamloops for over 50 years before moving to Pitt Meadows in 2007. Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother and dear friend. She was a quiet but strong woman who loved life and cared deeply for her family and friends. She loved quilting and many memories were formed with each stitch she made.
She also loved camping, fishing, travelling and gardening. Hazel was a long-standing member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Excelsior Rebekah Lodge #23.

She will be greatly missed

There's perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed,
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last."

The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive.

Following the service, Hazel will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery.

Donations in Hazel's memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
