Floyd Spencer of Clearview passed away at the Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on January 18, 2011. Born in Perth-Andover on June 20, 1939, he was the son of Ruth Gallant (Jenkins) and the late Vaughn Spencer. Besides his mother, who lives in Perth-Andover, Floyd leaves behind his wife Noreen Spencer (DeLong); his daughters Marie Spencer, Anne Spencer, and Janet Spencer (Larry Cossaboon), all of Saint John; his sister Faye (Charles) Bowmaster of Arthurette; his brothers Clair (Linda) Spencer of Prince George, BC, Claude (Brenda) Spencer of Bairdsville and Oscar (Diane) Spencer of Wicklow. Floyd was predeceased by his father and his brother Merle Spencer. Floyd owned and operated Floyd W. Spencer Insurance in Saint John for many years. He was a member of the Toast Masters Group, the Rotary Club, and the Knights of Columbus.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday 1 to 3 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 3 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Mr. Ray Andersen will officiate. Interment will be in the Waterville Community Cemetery at a later date.
