1937 - 2011 - Douglas Stoddart passed away at this residence, Church Court, Moncton on January 24, 2011 at the age of 73, with his loving family by his side. Born in Lower Clark's Harbour, NS to the late Douglas and Edna (Smith) Stoddart. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra (Swim) Stoddart, three daughters - Stephanie Chevarie (Paul) of Berry Mills, Cheryl Alexander of Moncton and Anna Lee Paddock (Bill) of Riverview, seven grand children - Kyle, Kori, Jefri Ann, Kelsie, Jordan, Justin and Ryan, one special great-granddaughter Dylann, and one sister Joan Cunningham (Robert) of Cape Sable Island, NS. He was predeceased by a sister Emily Swim. He spent many years working at the T. Eaton Co. and Lockharts of Moncton. Douglas was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church at which a memorial will be held at a later date.
In an effort to help medical research he has donated his body to Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. Charities close to Doug's heart were Canadian Celiac Assoc., Dr. Georges L. Dumont Dialysis Unit, Organ donation and Cancer research. Donations in his memory would be appreciated to any of the above.
