ERIC "RICK" WALTER HAYWOOD

ERIC "RICK" WALTER HAYWOOD

Born: November 29th, 1926

Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: February 7th, 2011

Eric passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2011, with the special angels at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.

Deeply loved and missed by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine, his daughter Sandra (Barry), his son Richard (Diana) and his sister Nora (Bob). His memory will be cherished by his four grandchildren Ryan (Keri), Jaymie (Roy), Kai and Isis and great granddaughter Elizibeth and numerous loving family members.

He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Harry, brothers George, Douglas and Jack.

Born November 29, 1926, Eric was raised and schooled in Kamloops. He always had plenty of stories to share with anyone willing to listen. A welder by trade he worked on numerous projects throughout B.C. such as Mica Dam and the Selkirk/McDonald Tunnel. People came looking for him to fix what was broken and he usually could or fabricate to make it better. A great teacher - always willing to share his knowledge and experiences - as long as it was done his way!

Rick lived a full life with Lorraine at his side. Fishing, camping, curling, golfing, volunteering and traveling ... a few of his passions. Sharing his fishing lakes and stories with his special fishing buddy was one of his favorite pastimes.

His love of the outdoors was his passion and he enjoyed sharing that experience with friends and family.

Many heartfelt thanks to Sandy and Dr. H. Stefanyk, the staff and volunteers at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.

Eric requested no service.
