It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernard Leonard Bennett, announces his sudden passing at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, in St. John's, NL, on Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 at the age of 67 years, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Mimie, his 5 children; Kim (Tom Langford) of Toronto, Catherine (Rene Myles), Tammy, & Jamie (Mary) all of St.John's, NL. His 10 grandchildren; Mathew & Josh of Toronto, Tyler & Jessica of Alberta, Alex, Sheelena, Kenneth all of St.John's, NL, 1 great grandchild; Jayden of Alberta. His siblings; Annette (Tony Specker) of Pynn's Brook, Greta Gillard, Ursula (Hubert Hynes) Shirley (Lee Theriault) all of St. Jude's, Geneva (Tom Wells) of Cormack, Cindy (Lionel Foote), Ottawa, Ontario, Edwina Bennett, Edmund (Delores) of St. Jude's, Vincent (Vida) of Frenchman's Cove, Burin, Douglas (Marcie) of Courtice, Ontario, Gregory (Sheila) Campbellford, Ontario, Roger (Debbie) of Courtice, Ontario, his sisters-in-law; Hannah (Ned Mullins) of Frenchman's Cove, Florence (Leo Cluett, Joyce (Cecil Lundgrian), Shelia (Alvin Green), Nadlca (Clarence Hynes) all of St. Jude's, Laura LeRoux, Shirley (Gord Nelson) both of Alberta, brothers-in-law; Arch (Marie) Rideout, Ben (Sheila) Rideout, Terry (Barb) Albert, Len (Gloria) Rideout, all of Frenchman’s Cove, Burin. Bernard was predeceased by his parents; Norman & Hattie Bennett, mother & father-in-law; Arch & Luttie Rideout, sister; Norma (Gord Samms), brothers-in-law; Cecil Rideout & Gary Gillard. Also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family & friends, Flowers and or donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation in Bernard’s memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, today Friday, February 11th, 2011 from the hours of 2–4 & 7–9 pm. The funeral mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, February 12th, 2011 at 10:30 am from the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Deer Lake, with Mons: James Robertson officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot at the Wight’s Road, Cemetery in Deer Lake, NL. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
