The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hosptial on Friday, February 18, 2011, of Mary Catherine MacRae (nee Murphy) of Orwell Cove, age 87 years.
Wife of the late John MacRae. Dear mother of Marie (Colin), David (Mary) and Donald (Darlene). Survived by daughter-in-law, Colleen, wife of Joseph (predeceased). Also survived by grandchildren, Sheila (Kyle), Joanne, Donna (Curtis), Mark, Bryan and Steven MacRae and Carla Callaghan; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Lily; brothers, Andrew (Edie), Leo (Dora), Leonard (Joan); and sister, Margaret.
Transferred from the Jenkins Funeral Home, Millview, to the Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford, for visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Tuesday from St. Michael’s Church, Iona, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Montague Home Care Association or St. Michael’s Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
Members of St. Michael’s CWL will hold prayers at the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m.
