It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel Hughes of New Ferolle, NL, announce her passing on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 64 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Margaret (Garry) House, Semonne, Rhona and Victor of New Ferolle, Lawrence (Karen) Millet, Alberta, and Hazareth (Fred) Tucker, Grande Prairie, Alberta; grandchildren Owen, Dylan, Jamie (Tina), Andrew, Trevor, Samantha, Adam (Malorie), Pamela, Jenna, Alison, and Amber; great-grandchildren Cole and Mya; brothers Wilfred, and Samuel (Ethel); sisters Annie (Algie), and Marina (Garland) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, daughter Josephine, parents Victor and Permella Sinnicks, sisters Victoria, Daisy and Rosie, and brother Guy. The family received friends at Our Lady of the Star in New Ferolle on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Biju Anthony officiating. Interment followed at French Cove Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
