Edith A. Hebert, 82, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital on Friday, February 25, 2011 following a courageous battle with Alzheimers.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Caroline (Fournier) Melanson.
Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Edith will be sadly missed by her daughters, Evelyn Arsenault (Peter) and Velma Wood (Barry); her sons, Laurie (Karen), John Jr. (Mona), Georges, Paul and David (Caroline); as well as her 13 grandchildren, four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John and her sister, Della.
In keeping with Edith’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 10:00 am, Rev. Bernard Sloan officiating. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stewart and Dr. Mansfield, as well as the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Department of The Moncton Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Edith and her family.
