Mervin enjoyed curling, skiing, playing cards, golfing, watching hockey and football games, camping, and fishing. His greatest enjoyment was being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed family gatherings. His friendly and gentle nature touched many lives. He never complained about the pain and suffering, which he endured
during his illness. He and Eileen talked about their lost plans for retirement and what was in store for them. He accepted each stage of his
life, as the disease took away more of his abilities. He always had a kind word to say to his caregivers and a smile for them. He was happy to see his many visitors. Mervin¹s life of pain and suffering is over. The debilitating effects of MS took its toll on his body, and ended his life, too soon. The Lord took him home, early Monday morning.
